This full-day cruise takes you from Athens to the three Saronic islands in one go: Hydra, Poros, and Aegina. Expect about 10–11 hours total, with roughly 2–3 hours on each island and decent sailing time in between. The boat is usually a large tourist vessel with plenty of outdoor deck space, a bar, and live Greek music that gets louder as the day goes on. You’ll get decent views of the gulf, some swimming stops if the weather cooperates, and a basic lunch on board. It’s busy, especially in summer, and feels very much like a classic group excursion rather than an intimate island-hopping experience.
Best time is late spring (May–early June) or early autumn (September–mid October). The sea is calmer, crowds are thinner, and you won’t bake on deck. Expect to pay around €110–€160 per person including lunch, depending on whether you add optional guided tours on the islands. Drinks and extra snacks are not included.
Pick Hydra if you only have time for one stop — it’s the most atmospheric with its car-free harbor and stone mansions. Skip the guided tours on Aegina; they’re usually rushed and not worth the extra money. Bring water, sunscreen, and good walking shoes. If you want a quieter, more flexible experience, consider ferry-hopping on your own instead.
