Jet Ski Rental in Aruba: What to Know

Expect a fun but brief burst of speed and spray along Aruba’s calm western coast. Most rentals last 30 minutes and include a quick safety briefing and life jacket. You’ll cruise past beaches and resorts at your own pace, though operators usually keep you in a marked area. It’s straightforward and family-friendly if you follow instructions; rougher waters on the east side are almost never offered. The activity itself feels exciting for first-timers but can get repetitive after 20 minutes unless you combine it with snorkeling or a longer guided tour.

Best time is January through August when trade winds are lighter and the Caribbean Sea is flattest. December and September–November can be windier or rainy, making the ride choppier. Expect to pay around $50–$90 per person for a 30-minute solo or two-person jet ski; doubles are cheaper per rider. Add fuel surcharges or photos if you want them.

Tip: choose a two-person jet ski if you’re traveling with a partner—it’s more stable and economical. Skip the upsell for GoPro rental unless you’re comfortable operating it at speed; the rental company’s photos are usually decent and less hassle. Book for early morning if you want cooler air and fewer crowds.
