Should You Visit Ocean Park in Manila?

Ocean Park is a mid-sized oceanarium right on Manila Bay that mixes marine exhibits, a small theme park area, and some dining options. Expect a decent collection of sharks, colorful reef fish, penguins, and a few interactive touch pools. The main aquarium tunnel is pleasant for 30-45 minutes, but the overall site feels a bit dated and crowded on weekends. It's not world-class like Singapore or Okinawa, but it's the best option if you're in Manila with kids or have a rainy afternoon to fill. The bay views from the outdoor sections are a nice bonus.

Best time is November to February when it's cooler and slightly less humid. Avoid weekends and Philippine holidays unless you enjoy long lines. Expect to pay around $15-25 per adult for a basic ticket; add another $10-15 if you want the bundled experiences or shows. Families usually spend $60-100 total including food and transport.

Honest tip: prioritize the main oceanarium and the shark tunnel, then head straight to the jellyfish exhibit. Skip the pricey add-on shows and rides unless your kids are really into them - they're short and not that impressive. Bring water and snacks; the on-site food is overpriced and average.
