Las Vegas roller coasters are mostly short, intense launches or drops integrated into casinos, not massive theme-park style rides. Expect 1-2 minutes of track, big views of the Strip (especially at height), and a fair bit of theming that feels dated but still fun. The best ones give you real airtime or solid G-forces; the weaker ones feel like a quick thrill tacked onto a hotel. Crowds are lighter than Orlando parks but lines can still hit 30-45 minutes on busy evenings. It's a good way to break up gambling or pool time if you like speed.
Go between October and April when it's cooler; summer desert heat makes waiting in line miserable. Expect to pay around $25-60 per ride if buying individually, or $80-150 for a multi-ride pass that bundles several attractions and saves money if you're doing three or more. Night rides are worth it for the lights.
Pick the New York-New York coaster for its solid layout and views; skip anything over 15 years old that feels rattly. If you're only doing one, get the observation deck + ride combo at the tallest tower instead of multiple smaller coasters. Bring sunglasses and avoid right after eating.
