Bali Jungle Swing Guide

A Bali swing day means being harnessed into giant pendulums that fling you out over rice terraces or jungle valleys. Expect a rush of adrenaline mixed with mild terror, then pure dopamine as you hang 20–70 meters above the greenery. Most spots have multiple swings from tame singles to massive tandem ones, plus nest baskets and spinning platforms. Staff push you, take endless photos (you'll get a ton), and it usually takes 2–4 hours total including transport from Ubud or Seminyak. It's touristy but the views are legitimately spectacular if you pick a clear day.

Best time is dry season (May–September) when skies are blue and paths aren't muddy. Avoid peak Christmas and Chinese New Year crowds. Expect to pay around $35–70 per person including transport and photos; longer private tours with multiple stops run $90–150. Cheaper operators exist but often mean long waits and pushier upselling.

Pick a mid-sized swing with a proper safety briefing and good harnesses over the absolute biggest ones if you're nervous. Skip the helicopter swing gimmick — it's usually extra cost for marginal added fun. Bring a small daypack with water and wear grippy shoes; the wooden platforms get slippery.
