Expect a full-on day of high-speed slides, lazy rivers, and wave pools mixed with serious crowds and desert heat. The bigger parks deliver genuine thrills—near-vertical drops, looping slides, and private beach access—but they’re also loud, commercial, and tiring. You’ll spend a lot of time queuing unless you go on a weekday or pay extra for fast-track. It’s a solid half-day or full-day activity if you like water rides; less appealing if you prefer calm beaches or theme parks.
Best time is December to March when it’s 24–28°C and actually pleasant to be outside. Avoid June–September; the 40°C+ heat makes even short walks between slides exhausting. Expect to pay around $80–130 per adult for a standard day ticket; add $30–60 if you want express passes or cabanas. Kids usually cost 20–30% less.
Pick the park attached to the big resort if you want variety and nicer facilities; skip the older standalone water park unless you’re on a tight budget. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, water shoes for hot pavement, and go early—first hour is the only time the big slides have short lines. Skip the overpriced food inside and eat a proper meal before or after.
