ASTRA is Europe's largest open-air ethnography museum, established in 1963 and covering 96 hectares in the Dumbrava Sibiului nature reserve. Visitors explore over 400 traditional Romanian buildings and monuments, including peasant technologies like waterwheels and windmills, plus an ethnic-technical park where guests can interact directly with heritage objects and miniatures.
