The Cevahir Bedesteni is the oldest section of Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, a 15th-century covered market originally built as a jewelry center on the site of a former Byzantine trading hub. Its labyrinthine design houses nearly 120 shops across four entrances selling antiques, handicrafts, calligraphy artworks, hand-made Iznik tiles, religious rosaries, and various other goods, offering visitors an authentic bazaar experience largely unchanged for centuries.
