Christ the Redeemer is a 30-meter-tall Art Deco statue of Jesus with outstretched arms, located at the peak of Corcovado mountain overlooking Rio de Janeiro. Constructed between 1922 and 1931 from reinforced concrete and soapstone, it is the world's largest Art Deco sculpture and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Visitors ascend the mountain to view this iconic symbol of Christianity and Brazil, which offers panoramic views of the city, Guanabara Bay, and Sugarloaf Mountain.
