The Trümmelbach Falls are Europe's largest subterranean waterfalls, featuring 10 cascades within a mountain in the Lauterbrunnen valley that have been accessible since 1877. Visitors venture into the chasm via steps, bridges, and a lift to witness up to 20,000 litres of glacial meltwater thundering through the rocks every second, with the most impressive displays during snow thaw (April-June) and glacier melt (June-September). A viewing terrace and self-service restaurant overlook this natural spectacle.
