
Yıldız Palace is a vast Ottoman palace complex overlooking the Bosphorus that served as the seat of government and residence of Sultan Abdülhamid II from 1876 to 1909. The 500,000 square-meter complex contains numerous pavilions, gardens, a theater, library, museum, and imperial porcelain factory, with the gardens and pavilions now open to the public as Yıldız Park.
