What to expect
You board a small open boat directly from the pier at first light while mist still clings to the volcanic pinnacles. The skipper cuts the engine in the bay so you drift silently beneath the spires, known locally as the 'Bay of Penises' before missionaries renamed it. You'll have time to photograph the changing light and hear the guide's account of the bay's geology and legends. Return to shore in time for breakfast in the village.
