What to expect
You leave from the small harbor and head out past the cliffs into blue water where currents converge and pelagic fish congregate. The skipper trolls lines by hand, watching birds and current lines for signs of bait balls. Mahi-mahi and wahoo are the most common catch, with marlin a real possibility in season. Whatever's caught is often prepared fresh that evening in the village.
Good to know
Half-day charters (around 4 hours) fit comfortably within a port call; confirm exact timing against the ship's all-aboard. Bring your own hat and sun protection, boats are basic and open.
