See the impossible blue-and-turquoise coral maze from the air — the view that made this place 'Australia's Galapagos', over reefs and wrecks invisible from any boat deck.
What to expect
You lift off from Geraldton airport and within minutes the ocean floor turns visible in bands of jade, cobalt and white sand. Your pilot banks low over the Easter Group's lagoons, the Batavia wreck site, and thousands of nesting seabirds on Pelsaert Island. Flights run about an hour and often extend into a fly-and-snorkel combination if conditions allow. It's the single best way to understand the scale of the 122-island archipelago in one sitting.
Good to know
Book directly with Shine Aviation before your cruise date — flights depend on wind and fill fast in peak (Sept-Nov) season. Confirm return timing against your ship's all-aboard, as charter flights can run long if weather shifts.
