Charter a local boat to slip between Tresco, Bryher and the uninhabited outer islands, landing on beaches that see almost no visitors.
What to expect
You board at New Grimsby quay and the skipper takes you out around Tresco's northern coast, across to Bryher's dramatic Hell Bay, and often on to Samson, an abandoned island with white sand and Bronze Age ruins. Seals and seabirds are common sightings. You can request a beach landing and swim stop if the weather's right.
