A private, ranger-led walk through West Coast National Park's Postberg section (in season) or the lagoon's Seeberg trail, across one of the world's great wildflower spectacles and a Ramsar-listed wetland.
What to expect
Your guide meets you at the gate and drives/walks you into Postberg's rolling hills (Aug-Sept) or year-round along Seeberg's lookout trail with sweeping lagoon views. Expect eland, bontebok, flocks of flamingos and pelicans on the water, and, in spring, carpets of daisies stretching to the horizon. The pace is unhurried, with long stops for photography and birding.
Good to know
Postberg flower season is strictly Aug-Sept; outside that window the Seeberg or Kraalbaai trails are the better substitute. Arrange the private guide at least a few days ahead through SANParks or a local field guide.
