Conquer Kefalonia's wildest peak in an open 4×4, rolling through the ancient Abies cephalonica fir forest — one of only two in all of Greece — before descending to a private Robola wine tasting at golden hour.
What to expect
A rugged 4×4 convoy climbs the switchbacks of Mount Ainos National Park, where Kefalonian fir trees — found nowhere else on earth in such concentration — create a cool, pine-scented cathedral. At the summit ridge (1,628 m), the entire Ionian archipelago fans out below you. As the light softens, the convoy descends to a boutique Robola estate, where the winemaker leads a seated tasting of Kefalonia's celebrated crisp white varietal paired with local charcuterie. The combination of wild nature and refined flavour is completely unique to this island.
Good to know
Afternoon departures align well with morning port arrivals — confirm pick-up at Argostoli port when booking. Not suitable for guests with severe mobility restrictions due to uneven mountain terrain. Light layers recommended; summit temperatures are notably cooler than sea level. Duration approximately 5–6 hours.
