Trek through ancient Langkawi rainforest to the thundering Seven Wells Waterfall, a series of natural rock pools cascading 90m down the mountainside. Rare birds, wild durian trees, and a refreshing natural plunge pool make this a true jungle adventure.
What to expect
Your guide meets you dockside and transfers you by private car to the trailhead at the base of Gunung Mat Cincang. The 20-minute forest trail climbs through dense old-growth rainforest, alive with the calls of oriental pied hornbills and the scent of wild ginger. Seven natural rock pools connect in a breathtaking staircase of cascading whitewater — the upper pools, rarely visited, are ideal for a private freshwater swim. On the descent, the guide points out 500-year-old trees and explains the island's rich geological heritage.
Good to know
Best visited in the morning before afternoon heat builds. Wear non-slip footwear and bring a change of clothes for swimming. Approx. 3 hours including transfers. Easily combined with the SkyCab for a full-day mountain itinerary. The falls are 10 minutes from Oriental Village.
