Part architectural wonderland, part adult playground, City Museum is a 10-story labyrinth of caves, slides, rooftop Ferris wheel, and surrealist art built from reclaimed St. Louis architecture. There is nothing else like it on Earth.
What to expect
Wander a five-story jungle gym made of salvaged bridges, gargoyles, and industrial ironwork; shimmy through cave tunnels lit by neon; hurtle down the famous 10-story spiral slide. The rooftop hosts a Ferris wheel and breathtaking city views. Every corner reveals a new secret passage or sculptural marvel by artist Bob Cassilly. Wear clothes you can move — and get dirty — in.
Good to know
City Museum is about 10 minutes by rideshare from the riverfront. Evening hours typically run until midnight on weekends — ideal for cruise passengers with a late all-aboard. Book rooftop access separately. Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended.
