Thunder across open fjord waters in a high-speed RIB to stand beneath Hornelen, Europe's tallest sea cliff at 860 metres of sheer vertical rock plunging into the sea. Raw, exhilarating, and utterly unforgettable.
What to expect
Kitted out in a full-body survival suit, you'll race across glittering fjord water before the cliff wall rears up ahead of you in truly jaw-dropping scale. The guide cuts the engine so you can float in silence beneath 860 metres of rock, listening to waterfalls cascade down the face. On the return leg, the skipper navigates sea caves and hidden skerries that only locals know. Wildlife sightings — white-tailed eagles, seals, porpoise — are common.
Good to know
Warm underlayers are essential even in summer — the RIB suit goes over your clothes. Book directly well ahead; groups are intentionally kept small. The full round-trip runs approximately 3 hours; confirm departure against your all-aboard time.
