Drift through the serene southern fjords of Vågsøy aboard a small guided vessel, weaving between mirror-still inlets, fishing hamlets, and cloud-draped peaks. The definitive Norwegian fjord immersion — intimate, slow, and visually stunning.
What to expect
Departing directly from Måløy harbour, your skipper-guide navigates south into the fjord system, narrating the human and natural history of each landmark as it unfolds around you. The boat pauses beneath a thundering waterfall where you can reach out and touch the spray, then glides into a glassy inlet flanked by farms that have barely changed in a century. Binoculars on board make the eagle-spotting feel almost guaranteed. The return journey times the golden-hour light perfectly on the surrounding peaks.
Good to know
Dress warmly in layers — even midsummer, the water cools the air noticeably on the open sections. Book directly with Måløy Adventure ahead of your port call; small group size means availability is limited. Allow approximately 2.5–3 hours.
