Glide over one of the world's largest barrier reefs in total privacy. The Great Astrolabe Reef's kaleidoscopic coral gardens and teeming marine life make this a once-in-a-lifetime underwater encounter.
What to expect
Your private outrigger or speedboat departs the moment you're ready, whisking you to remote reef formations that shore-based snorkellers never reach. Beneath the surface, expect staghorn and plate coral in extraordinary density, schools of parrotfish, and the very real chance of swimming alongside a hawksbill sea turtle. Your guide dives alongside you, pointing out camouflaged creatures and safe passages through the coral. Surface breaks in calm lagoon waters mean even first-time snorkellers feel completely at ease.
Good to know
Book in advance via Exodus's Facebook page or on arrival at the beach — but pre-booking is strongly advised for groups. Bring reef-safe sunscreen; standard sunscreen is harmful to the coral and frowned upon locally. Allow 2–2.5 hours on the water and be back at the tender dock at least 45 minutes before all-aboard.
