Circle the entire island of Dravuni aboard a traditional Fijian outrigger canoe, discovering hidden coves, sea caves, and reef passages invisible from the beach. A quintessential Pacific adventure told at your own pace.
What to expect
You push off from the main beach and immediately the island reveals a completely different personality from the water: dramatic volcanic cliffs, sea arches, and patches of vivid reef visible through crystal water just beneath the hull. The boatman narrates in English, identifying reef passages and pointing out resident marine life. On the far side of the island, the silence is extraordinary — just ocean, birds, and the gentle creak of the outrigger. The full circuit takes approximately 45–60 minutes, or longer if you ask to stop. It's the perfect prologue or epilogue to a snorkel session.
Good to know
Negotiate directly with boatmen on the beach at the start of the day for best availability. Bring a waterproof phone case or dry bag — spray is inevitable and worth it. Combine brilliantly with the snorkel safari for a full on-water morning before an afternoon on the beach.
