Take your first breaths underwater inside the Cerbicale Islands Nature Reserve — one of the Mediterranean's most pristine marine sanctuaries. Expert PADI instructors guide absolute beginners through crystalline water above Neptune-grass meadows, past Grouper and gilt-head bream, all within 500 metres of untouched coastline.
What to expect
Meet your PADI instructor at Porto-Vecchio marina for a 30-minute briefing and equipment fitting before boarding the dive boat. A 15-minute crossing delivers you to the Cerbicale reserve, where you descend to 5–8 metres in water of extraordinary visibility. Schools of Salema porgy, moray eels sheltering in granite crevices, and vast Neptune-grass beds scroll beneath you. The instructor maintains constant contact and ensures you surface feeling elated rather than overwhelmed. A second optional dive may be added for experienced beginners.
Good to know
No prior dive experience required — minimum age 8. Runs most mornings; confirm departure time to allow a 90-minute buffer before all-aboard. Inform the operator of any medical conditions at booking. A light wetsuit is provided; bring a towel and swimwear. Avoid diving if you plan to fly within 18 hours (cruise passengers are generally fine).
