Tamusua Island Sea Caves: Private Kayak & Coastal Exploration

Paddle by private guided kayak to the dramatic sea caves of Tamusua Island, a tiny satellite islet off Vanikoro with cathedral-scale limestone caverns, hidden beaches, and water so clear it glows turquoise from above. Utterly untouched, utterly unforgettable.

What to expect

You launch from shore in stable sea kayaks and paddle the glittering channel separating Vanikoro from Tamusua Island, your guide narrating the reef ecology beneath your hull. At the caves, you beach the kayaks on a hidden white-sand strand and wade or swim into caverns where shafts of light pierce the vault above. The guide points out cave-dwelling swiftlets and rare invertebrates clinging to the limestone. A sheltered snorkel in the cave mouth reveals coral gardens in improbable colour, before the return paddle along Vanikoro's rugged coastline.
