The bucket-list things to do — and who runs each one.
Here’s the bucket list for your day ashore: the most extraordinary thing to do at each stop, who runs it, and how to book it direct — so you can weigh it against your ship’s excursion and pick what suits you.
Hike, slide, cliff-jump, and swim through 27 cascading limestone waterfalls deep in the Dominican jungle — widely voted the single most thrilling experience in the entire Caribbean. Pure, raw, bucket-list magic.
Ride a Swiss-built cable car 800 metres above Puerto Plata to a mountaintop crowned by a giant Christ statue, sweeping ocean panoramas, and lush botanical gardens. One of the most jaw-dropping viewpoints in the Caribbean.
Set sail along the lush Amber Coast on a premium catamaran, snorkel vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish, then anchor at a secluded beach with an open bar and Caribbean lunch. The definitive luxury day at sea.
Tear through dirt tracks, sugar-cane fields, rural villages, and tropical river crossings in your own open-air dune buggy — a private, high-adrenaline deep-dive into Dominican landscapes most visitors never see.
Dive into an encounter with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, tropical sharks, and stingrays at Ocean World — one of the Caribbean's premier marine parks, just minutes from the port. An intimate, expert-led wildlife experience that stays with you forever.
Explore Puerto Plata's glorious Victorian gingerbread architecture, the amber museum, and Fort San Felipe with a private local guide, then hand-roll your own Cibao cigar and taste aged Dominican rum — a civilised, deeply authentic afternoon.
You know what to do on the day. Here is the trip it belongs to — each one opens as a whole plan, not a list: where to fly in, every port, what it runs.
