Expect a casual, low-key experience rather than serious cellar tours. The wines are mostly young, fruit-forward reds and crisp whites; nothing life-changing, but perfectly pleasant with good guacamole and sunset views. It’s a nice half-day activity if you want something calmer than the usual Cabo party scene.

The best time is November through April when temperatures are comfortable and tours run reliably. Summer and early fall get brutally hot, and many operators cut back. Expect to pay around $80–$150 per person depending on whether it’s a basic tasting, one with a meal, or a private experience. Group tours starting near $80 are the most common option.

Tip: Choose anything that focuses on Baja wines over the ones that lean heavily into tequila and cocktails. Skip the big bus tours if you can; smaller groups in San José del Cabo feel more genuine. If you only have one evening free, a simple art-and-wine walk usually gives better value than an overpriced “sunset” tasting that’s mostly about the view.
