A history museum located on the ground floor of the Municipal Palace in Casco Antiguo, Panama City, established in 1977 and administered by the Ministry of Culture of Panama. The museum houses three permanent exhibits covering Panamanian history from the Colonial Period through the present, including maps, religious objects, the Declaration of Independence, photographs of the Panama Canal Railway construction, and national symbols such as a replica of the first Panamanian flag and the original National Anthem score.
