A steep, short climb straight above town to a viewpoint over the Beagle Channel, Ushuaia, and the Dientes peaks — best done early before the wind picks up.
What to expect
The trail climbs hard through lenga forest for about an hour, gaining real elevation fast, before opening onto a wind-scoured ridge marking the start of the Dientes circuit. From the top, the entire Beagle Channel spreads out with Ushuaia visible across the water and the jagged Dientes ridge behind you. It's steep enough to feel earned but short enough to fit before a mid-morning excursion or lunch.
Good to know
About 2-3 hours round trip; trailhead is a short taxi ride from the pier. Go as early as your ship's schedule allows — the wind here is a genuine factor by midday, not a minor annoyance.
