Highlands, Coffee Farm & El Junco Lagoon Tour

Visit a family-run coffee farm to see bean-to-cup processing, then walk the rim of El Junco, the only permanent freshwater lake in the Galapagos, cradled in an extinct volcanic crater.

What to expect

At the farm, growers walk you through picking, drying, and roasting beans grown at this altitude, finishing with a cupping of the estate's own coffee. From there it's a short drive to El Junco, where a paved path circles the crater rim through humid highland vegetation, often with frigatebirds pausing to bathe in the fresh water below — one of the only places on Earth they do so.

Good to know

Highlands are cooler and often misty — bring a light jacket. Best done as a morning tour; easily paired with the Galapaguera tour above if your call is long enough.
