Assos Village & Fortress Walk with a Local Guide

Climb the pine-shaded path to the abandoned Venetian fortress above Assos for a view over two seas, guided by someone who actually grew up on this coast rather than reading from a script.

What to expect

You're driven the short, scenic route to Assos, a tiny peninsula village connected by a narrow isthmus. From there it's a moderate 30-40 minute walk up through pine forest to the ruined 16th-century Venetian fortress walls, largely empty of other visitors. The guide points out the isthmus beaches below and shares stories of the village's fishing and shipping past before you descend for a coffee by the harbour.

Good to know

Wear proper walking shoes and bring water; the fortress has no shade and no facilities. Private group pricing means it's most efficient booked with 2-4 other couples from your ship.
