Crocus Bay & The Arch by Private Guide: Anguilla's Wild Coastline

A quieter, cliff-backed bay with excellent snorkeling and, just inland, a striking natural limestone arch few day-trippers ever find.

What to expect

You start in the calm cove of Crocus Bay, snorkeling over rock formations dense with fish, then walk a short inland trail to the arch, a wind-carved stone formation locals treat as a landmark rather than a tourist site. Your guide, usually Anguillian-born, fills in real island history along the way — salt trade, hurricane rebuilding, family land. It closes with a scenic overlook most cruise passengers never see.

Good to know

Wear water shoes for the rocky entry at Crocus Bay; the arch walk is short but uneven underfoot. Best done mid-morning before the sun is directly overhead.
