Speed out to the protected marine park of Koh Rang, where visibility regularly exceeds 20m over intact staghorn corals and resident sea turtles, for a guided small-group snorkelling odyssey unlike anything on the main island shelf.
What to expect
The speedboat departs early and skims 45 minutes southwest to Koh Rang's National Marine Park, arriving at dawn-quiet reefs before any crowds. Three distinct snorkel sites are chosen by the guide based on tide and current: expect bommies crowded with clownfish, giant clams, leopard sharks resting on sand, and clouds of iridescent fusiliers. A generous Thai buffet lunch is served on a secluded beach, followed by a lazy afternoon stop at a sandbar where you can wade in ankle-deep turquoise water.
Good to know
Departs around 08:00, returns by 15:30 — comfortably ahead of all-aboard. Equipment (mask, fins, snorkel, life vest) is included. Confirm you have a minimum of 4 guests to secure a private speedboat departure rather than a shared vessel.
