Balos Lagoon & Gramvousa Island: Sailing Cruise with Meals

Sail to Crete's most iconic, otherworldly lagoon — a shallow turquoise crescent flanked by wild dunes and the fortified isle of Gramvousa. A true once-in-a-lifetime seascape that belongs on every bucket list.

What to expect

Board the sleek catamaran from Kissamos port and sail north along Crete's dramatic cape. Dock at the craggy Gramvousa islet and climb to the Venetian castle for jaw-dropping panoramas. Descend back to the boat, cruise into the lagoon, and wade through knee-deep, bath-warm water over white sand. A generous Greek lunch with local wine is served onboard on the return sail.

Good to know

Kissamos port is approximately 40 km west of Chania port — allow 45 minutes by taxi or pre-arranged transfer. The ferry departs at 10:30; confirm all-aboard time with the ship and pre-book online well in advance, especially May–September. Bring water shoes for the lagoon and reef-safe sunscreen.
