Pedal a four-wheel rail bike along a decommissioned coastal railway with the Korea Strait glittering directly beside you. One of the most unique and photogenic experiences in South Korea, and a genuinely fun, active alternative to sightseeing on foot.
What to expect
Board your open-sided rail bike at the Iyatang Station terminal and set off along a converted railway line that hugs the rocky coastline above the sea. The 5km route weaves through two tunnels (one lit with a dazzling LED art installation) and around headlands where the ocean fills your entire view. The pace is entirely yours — stop for photos, pause at sea-view platforms, or power through for the exhilaration. The return journey is by electric assist, making it entirely accessible.
Good to know
Advance booking is strongly recommended — slots sell out, especially on weekends and Korean holidays. The rail bike terminal is approximately 20–25 minutes by taxi from the cruise pier. Allow 2–2.5 hours including transfer. Suitable for most fitness levels; electric assist on the return. Wear sunscreen — the route is largely exposed.
