A private 4×4 Jeep expedition through Atlantic Forest trails to Paraty's legendary natural waterfall slides — including the famous Tobogã rock toboggan — and the seven cascading pools of Sete Quedas. Pure exhilaration wrapped in jungle grandeur.
What to expect
Your open-top Jeep departs directly from the port area and climbs into the Serra do Mar, crossing rivers and rainforest tracks before reaching Cachoeira do Tobogã — a smooth granite chute worn by water over millennia, used as a natural slide into a cool emerald pool. From there you hike a short trail to Sete Quedas, a series of seven tiered waterfalls perfect for a restorative swim. Your guide shares the ecology of the Atlantic Forest and points out endemic birds, bromeliads and orchids along the way. The return Jeep ride offers sweeping panoramas of Paraty Bay.
Good to know
Wear a swimsuit under light clothes and bring a dry bag for valuables. Water shoes or old trainers are recommended — the rock slides are slippery. Tours run approximately three to four hours; confirm your all-aboard time when booking. Pre-book at least 48 hours in advance, as private Jeep slots are limited.
