Glide through the dramatic Musandam fjords — Oman's 'Norway of Arabia' — on a private traditional dhow, watching wild dolphins ride your bow wave and snorkeling in crystal-clear turquoise inlets. An utterly cinematic, once-in-a-lifetime seascape.
What to expect
Board a polished traditional Omani dhow at Khasab marina and sail deep into Khor Sham, the most spectacular of the Musandam fjords — sheer limestone cliffs plunging 1,000 metres into glassy sea. Pods of spinner and bottlenose dolphins frequently surf the bow wave en route. The crew drops anchor at a secluded bay for snorkeling over thriving coral gardens, then serves a freshly prepared Omani lunch on deck. The return cruise at golden hour, with mountains reflected in the still water, is the defining memory.
Good to know
Full-day cruises depart around 09:00 and return by 15:00–16:00 — well within standard all-aboard times. Khasab marina is a short taxi ride (5–10 min) from the cruise terminal. Pre-book a private charter directly; capacity and captain availability are limited. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and a layer for the sea breeze.
