What to expect
You are fitted to your own camel by a handler who takes the time to introduce you to your animal by name. The procession moves south along the shoreline as the light turns gold, then copper, then deep rose — guides pause the train at the best vantage points for photography. The return leg is timed precisely so you watch the last sliver of sun drop below the horizon before being helped to dismount. The whole experience feels ceremonial rather than touristy.

Sunset rides operate seasonally (April–October) and sell out weeks in advance — pre-book online. Cable Beach is a 10-minute taxi ride from Broome Port; taxis and rideshares meet ships on arrival. Confirm your ship's all-aboard time against the ride's finish time, allowing 30 minutes to return to port.
