Trek through dense rainforest, descend into a dramatic river canyon, and wade through Vanuatu's largest cave system — a full-day adventure that is genuinely unlike anywhere else on earth.
What to expect
The day begins with a forest walk through a working kastom village, descending via bamboo ladders into a steep river gorge. You wade waist-deep through the cave's underground river — torchlit, cathedral-vast, and alive with the sound of rushing water and fruit bats. Emerging into sunlight at the cave's far end, you're welcomed back through the village with fresh coconut. The physical demand is moderate-to-challenging; the reward is extraordinary.
