Lenmakana Jellyfish Lake: Guided Snorkel with Stingless Jellies

Float in a saltwater lake teeming with millions of stingless golden jellyfish — one of only a handful of such marine lakes on Earth. Surrounded by ancient limestone, it is an otherworldly, utterly peaceful encounter found nowhere else.

What to expect

A short jungle trail through dense tropical forest leads to the lake's glassy surface, where thousands of pulsing golden jellyfish drift in slow motion. You slip into the warm water and find yourself enveloped — jellyfish grazing your arms and legs without the faintest sting. Your guide explains the evolutionary quirk that robbed them of their venom, then points out the rare micro-fauna living on the lake floor. Silence, warm water, and living amber clouds: few moments in travel rival this.

Good to know

The lake is a 10–15 min walk from the boat landing; wear reef-safe sunscreen only (chemical sunscreens are banned). Visit in the morning for the best jellyfish congregation near the surface. Pre-book your private speedboat and confirm jellyfish season (population peaks May–October).
