Private Picnic on a Tahanea Sandbar: Champagne at the Edge of the World

A private pirogue whisks you to a gossamer sandbar rising just inches above the Pacific — your personal island for two hours, set with a luxury Polynesian feast, chilled champagne, and 360° views of Tahanea's shifting blues. Pure escapism.

What to expect

A local pirogue captain navigates to a sandbar barely large enough for a sarong, two sun loungers, and a low bamboo table laid with chilled Champagne, fresh ceviche, tropical fruit, and warm coconut bread. The surrounding lagoon shimmers in every shade of teal and aquamarine; in every direction, the horizon is unbroken Pacific. Hawksbill turtles occasionally surface nearby. As the tide edges in, your captain returns precisely on cue — the timing is part of the theatre.

Good to know

Sandbar exposure is tide-dependent; your captain will select the optimal bar for the day. Maximum 4 guests to preserve the 'private island' sensation. Bring SPF 50+ and a wide-brim hat — there is zero shade. This experience books out quickly on port days; reserve through the Pacific Puddle Jump network at least 48 hours in advance.
