Crowds build quickly during peak season and the weather can swing from perfect to whiteout in an hour. Lift lines are manageable compared with bigger resorts but still exist on busy weekends.

The season usually runs mid-June to early October, with July and August delivering the most reliable snow. A full day out including transport from town, gear, and food lands most people in the NZ$350–500 range.
