What to expect
A short transfer brings you to Punta Loma, where a briefing covers sea lion behaviour and snorkel technique. You enter calm, crystalline Golfo Nuevo water (wetsuits provided) and within minutes a colony of 600+ sea lions is spiralling around you — barrel-rolling, blowing bubbles, and staring you down with enormous eyes. Certified divers can opt for the full scuba experience at 8–15 metres depth, where the sea lions perform acrobatics around kelp columns. The whole in-water session lasts 45–60 minutes.
Good to know
Morning slots (departing ~09:00) have the best sea lion activity and visibility. The excursion takes approximately 3.5 hours total — very manageable against most all-aboard times.
