Swim in a turquoise, mineral-rich sinkhole that drops into the earth like a secret lagoon, then wade through a jade-green wadi to a hidden waterfall and cave — Oman's most jaw-dropping natural double-act, experienced in pure private luxury.
What to expect
Your driver-guide collects you from the port in a premium 4WD and heads south along the dramatic Oman coastline highway. At Bimmah, you descend stone steps into a perfectly circular sinkhole of electric-blue water, fed by fresh springs and the sea — swimming is blissful and unlike anything in the region. Continuing to Wadi Shab, you wade and swim through a series of emerald pools flanked by towering canyon walls before reaching a secret waterfall hidden inside a limestone cave. Chilled water, snacks, and towels are provided throughout.
Good to know
Both sites are roughly 120 km (75 miles) south of Port Qaboos — approximately 1.5 hours each way; depart by 07:30 to complete both sites comfortably before a 17:00–18:00 all-aboard. Wear a swimsuit under light clothing, bring water shoes for Wadi Shab's rocky river walk, and apply reef-safe sunscreen. Pre-booking is essential as private 4WDs are limited.
